How do I dispute my debt?

If you notify us in writing within 30 days from receiving our initial “Collections Notice” letter or e-mail that you dispute the validity of this debt or any portion thereof, we will obtain verification of the debt or obtain a copy of a judgment and mail you a copy of such judgment or verification.

If you request from us in writing within 30 days after receiving our initial “Collections Notice” letter or e-mail, we will provide you with the name and address of the original creditor, if different from the current creditor.

If your account is being reported to your credit report by RFGI and you believe the account is not being reported accurately, you can also submit a dispute on your credit report through the credit bureaus.

How does my debt with RFGI affect my credit report?

RFGI does report delinquent accounts to the credit bureaus if your account is eligible to be reported per our internal account process and per federal and state laws. We also typically will make inquires to credit bureaus to obtain location information and credit information regardless of whether or not your account is eligible for credit reporting. Sometimes these inquiries may show up on your credit report and may affect your credit score. We've listed the three major credit bureau web sites below for your convenience.


I just received a letter from RFGI, what should I do?

Read the letter and make sure that you understand it your rights and deadlines. If you wish to resolve your debt or have any questions, you may call us at anytime toll-free at (866) 217-9080. We have many different payment plans available to help you resolve your debt and put it behind you. Your letter may provide some options for you that you can take advantage of without ever speaking to an account representative.

I've never heard of RFGI, why are you contacting me?

RFGI is short for Rozlin Financial Group, Inc. We are a debt collection agency and we are contacting you to collect a outstanding debt. Your debt did not originate with RFGI, but unless disputed, it is still a valid debt that requires your attention. In some cases, your debt may be credit reported to the credit bureau reporting agencies. We will work with you to get your debt paid off. My account was included in a bankruptcy, what should I do?

If you filed for bankruptcy, and the debt in question was included in that bankruptcy, then you are NOT required to repay anything, but we need to be made aware of your bankruptcy filing. You may call us to inform us of your bankruptcy, or write us a brief note, or you may have your bankruptcy lawyer contact us with the information, it's your choice. In order to close out your account as a bankruptcy, we would like the following information if available:
1) The exact name(s) shown on the bankruptcy petition
2) The date of the filing
3) The Chapter of the bankruptcy (i.e. ch. 7, or ch. 13)
4) The bankruptcy case number
5) The state and district the bankruptcy was filed in

I can not pay the entire bill in full, what are my options?

If you received a letter from us, the letter should provide you with a short menu of repayment options. If you don't see an option that fits your budget or if you have not received such a letter from us, call us to discuss a payment plan. We will work with you!
In many cases you may be able to resolve your debt for a reasonable one-time payment at a discount or you may be able to resolve your debt with small monthly payments. If you're facing extreme financial hardship, and you're not able to raise a lump sum, we will work out a payment plan that will allow you to pay off your debt with us in a reasonable period of time. How do I pay my debt to RFGI?

You can make payment online using our website, by mailing in your payment or by paying over the telephone by calling us toll-free at (866) 217-9080. It's up to you to choose whatever is easier. We accept the following forms of payment:
  • ACH Check (e-Check)
  • Credit/Debit Card
  • Money Order
  • Cashier's Check
  • Personal Check
  • Savings account draft (ACH)

If you're making several payments, we can set up automatic payments for you. The payments can be setup for predetermined dates, and for set amounts based on your negotiated arrangement. For instance, it's very simple to set up a monthly payments of $75 to be deducted from your checking account or to be charged to your credit card every month until your debt has been paid in full. If you should ever wish to cancel or change a payment date, all you have to do is call us at least 5 business days prior to your payment date and we will cancel or modify the payment for you.

Once I pay my debt to RFGI, what happens?

Once you've paid your debt, we will send you a written confirmation and paid receipt within 4-6 weeks. If your account was being reported to the credit bureaus, we will update your account as paid within 30 days.
